This single panel from the 171-m2, multi-panel mural titled
The Gatherings (Early 1900s), shows one of the many dances held
early in the century. Gus Barth, born 1902, learned music as a
child and taught it as an adult. His six-piece orchestra
performed at many town and country dances like the one pictured
here.
